  If shopping in malls bores you senseless, and you’re fed up of spotting the dress you’re wearing on five other girls at the same party, it’s time you cast your shopping net further afield to find your own fashion guru. The question is where, right? We’ve been doing some deep style detecting work on the designer front, and have unearthed two of the most brilliant fashion talents our fair city has to offer. Step forward, the future of Dubai’s fashion industry...

  Who? Amber Feroz “Fashion isn’t fashion without Kate Moss”

  Where? Miss Elegant, Al Wasl Rd

  Fashion history? After studying Fashion Design at Milan’s Instituto di Moda Burgo, Amber kicked off his career interning at Armani Prive. In the Middle East for five years, Amber is Dubai’s go-to guy for fashionistas in the know who want dazzlingly brilliant, directional couture.

  Fave fashion designers?Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, Givenchy, Balenciaga.

  Signature style? Sexy draping mixed with architectural construction, created through his own cutting technique.

  Would love to dress? Tilda Swinton, Kate Winslet, Gwen Stefani.

  Fave celeb fashionista? Kate Moss, Sienna Miller.

  This season's look? Inspired by desert reptiles, sexy jumpsuits and cutaway gowns in earth-toned silks and leather are key.

  Recessionista friendly or serious splurge? Ready- to-wear pieces start at Dhs500 – savvy style hunters should snap up as much of his work while they can as this boy is going to be huge!

  What next? A brand new boutique on Al Wasl Rd selling Amber’s ready-to-wear collection opens next month. Race you there…

  Who? Rahil Hesan “I’d love to work with Victoria Beckham”

  Where? Warda Haute Couture, Al Wasl Rd

  Fashion history? A graduate of London’s Cavendish College, Rahil opened her first atelier in Dubai in 2005, showed for the first time at Dubai Fashion Week this April and opened her new couture and pret-a-porter showroom this month.

  Fave fashion designers? Coco Chanel, Valentino, Christian Dior.

  Signature style? Classic glamour – we’re talking old school Hollywood sex appeal with an emphasis on highlighting hourglass curves. Rose motifs also feature regularly in Rahil’s designs – her nickname Warda means rose in Arabic.

  Would love to dress? Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie.

  Fave celeb fashionista? Victoria Beckham.

  This season's look? Goddess gowns in sugared almond shades of candyfloss pink, lemon yellow and icy blue for the red carpet, alongside classic cocktail dresses in lace, duchess satin and chiffon.

  Recessionista friendly or serious splurge? Accessories from Dhs400, pret-a-porter from Dhs1,000. One-off couture gowns cost anywhere from Dhs6,000. Amazing value for timeless chic.
